Welcome to the home of Market Deeping Cricket Club.

Based in Southern Lincolnshire, MDCC is one of the strongest local cricket teams around and we want that to continue. The club plays in the Lincolnshire Premier league and Division One of the Rutland league, with second teams on Saturdays and Sundays and many youth teams.

While local legends such as David Gillett  and John McDougall have formed the backbone of a strong amateur cricket club, we have an incredibly strong youth section and selection policy which has seen many top local youngsters join our ranks. Over the years the club has competed at the highest local level and won many trophies in all forms of cricket .

MDCC brings players through from Under 9 to senior level, and operates a policy of not using local professionals or paying for the services of cricketers from around the world, but remaining successful with home grown talent.  MDCC finished 4th in ECB Lincs Premier League in 2008 and regained their place in the Rutland top flight.

With one of the best grounds in Lincolnshire, MDCC pride themselves on the quality of  wickets, outfield and practice facilities with "groundsman of the year" Ian Jones at the helm.

This site is a place to learn more about the club, understand the names and faces that appear in the Peterborough Evening Telegraph, Stamford Mercury, and Bourne Local most weeks and to get involved with a great club.

The site is all about getting to know the club, checking out our reports and results through the season and finding out about the social events in 2009.
